Purpose

To consider approving the commencement of a procurement exercise to enable the connection of three buildings to a future heat network.

Decision

1. That the use of the Government Commercial Agency Demand Management and Renewables Framework lot 4.2 and a direct award of a contract to Fair Heat Limited for capital works to enable the connection of three Council buildings to a decarbonised heating source (namely a Heat Network), with the support of Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme grant funding, be approved. 
2. That authority be delegated to the Director of Environment and Property, in consultation with the Cabinet member for Planning and Sustainability, to determine the start date of the capital works.
