Purpose

To consider approving the start of plan-making, publication of the Minerals and Waste Local Plan Timetable, and upcoming public consultation and to consider agreeing the scope of delegated authorities and instructions to officers for Minerals and Waste Local Plan preparation.

Decision

1. That the Council publish a Notice of Intention to Commence the MK Minerals and Waste Local Plan and the MK Minerals and Waste Local Plan Timetable.
2. That authority be delegated to the Director of Planning and Placemaking, in consultation with the Cabinet member for Planning and Sustainability, to:

(a)        approve updates to the Minerals and Waste Local Plan Timetable;

(b)       approve, publish and submit the required documents and statements for statutory Gateway 1;

(c)        deliver the statutory Regulation 45 'Scoping Consultation';

(d)       prepare and approve all evidence documents, reports and supporting data and analysis for publication; and

(e)        make minor, typographical and inconsequential amendments to these documents prior to publication.
