Purpose

To consider approving a programme of land and
asset disposals to support the Council’s HRA business plan
priorities and financial position.

Content

1.         That the
public and press be excluded from the meeting by virtue of
Paragraph 3 (Information relating to the Financial or Business
Affairs of the Authority) of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local
Government Act 1972, in order that the meeting may consider the
exempt Annexes to the report.

2.         That
disposal of surplus sites or uneconomical to repair properties
within the Housing Revenue Account be approved, subject to the
process listed in Annex A to the report.

3.         That the
Director of Environment and Property, in consultation with the
Director of Finance and Resources (s151) and the Cabinet member,
move surplus sites and properties between phases or to remove them
from the programme, for example if the site has in the meantime
been allocated for new Council house development, with funding
confirmed.

4.         That the
Director of Environment and Property be authorised to agree changes
to property boundaries, as identified by red line plans,
when due
diligence has identified amendments are required.
