The Sub-Committee carefully considered all the evidence
before it, including the Premises Licence Holder’s
representative submission and the representations from the
Responsible Authorities.
It noted the concerns of the representation from Bucks Fire
and Rescue Service in relation to the escape route from the decking
outside area had been too narrow together with the fire exit door
not meeting the statutory dimensions. 
It was noted that the distance from this area to a place of safety
was too great that fire and smoke could overtake patrons before
they reached the exit.
It was further noted that the fire doors between the bar
and stairs to the first floor accommodation, together with the door
between the kitchen and dining area, had not been adequately
maintained.
Whilst the Sub-Committee would not suspend the licence, it
encouraged officers to take into account the information and
concerns raised when considering the variation application, which
would be determined at a hearing on 14 October 2024.
The Sub-Committee resolved:

1.         That the
decked outside area be closed to the public for a period not to
exceed three months from the date of service of this Notice, or
until such a time as the variation application has been
determined.

2.         That a
satisfactory fire risk assessments and fire safety measures be
implemented.

3.         That all
fire exits be cleared of all debris and trip hazards and adequate
lighting be installed.
