Purpose

The new contractual arrangement commences on
1st October and gives the Council a compliant purchasing framework
for the commissioning of children’s residential care
placements. The contract will last until 30/09/28, with up to 4
years’ extension in block of 2 years thereafter.

Content

1.         That the
public and press be excluded from the meeting by virtue of
Paragraph 3 (Information Relating to the Financial or Business
Affairs of the Authority) of Part I of Schedule 12A of the Local
Government Act 1972, in order that the meeting consider the exempt
Annex to the report.

2.         That
continued membership of the South Central residential consortium
under new contractual arrangements, be approved.

3.         That the
outcome of the contract award report, attached as an exempt Annex,
be noted.

4.         That
authority be delegated to the Director of Children’s Services
to approve awards for all placement contracts
(“call-offs”) made in respect of the new framework
agreement.
