Purpose
To consider approving the re-procurement of
Demand Responsive Transport services for 2025.
Content
1. That the
public and press be excluded from the meeting by virtue of
Paragraph 3 (Information relating to the Financial or Business
Affairs of the Authority) of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Local
Government Act 1972 if the contents of the exempt Annex are to be
discussed.
2. That a
re-procurement of the demand responsive travel service, via Lot 2
Shared Taxi and Demand responsive service of the CU2688 Local Bus
and Shared Taxi and Demand Responsive Services Dynamic Purchasing
System (DPS) based on the service criteria set out in exempt Annex
C, be agreed.
3.
That the term of
contract be an initial two-year period based on the confirmed and
available funding, with a further one year extension, subject to
new and available funding being confirmed, including any potential
relevant Government grant funding.
4. That
authority be delegated to the Director Environment and Property in
consultation with Cabinet Member for Resources and Customer Experience, to
approve the award of the contract following the competition and
evaluation under the DPS, subject to receiving bids within the
budget.
5.
That authority be
delegated to the Director of Environment and Property, in
consultation with the Cabinet memberfor Resources and Customer
Experience, to extend the current contract for up to eight weeks on
the current terms (should this be needed for the mobilisation of
the new contract), noting that any extension cost will be drawn
from the same overall funding pot, reducing the funding available
for the potential year of extension (the third
year).
