The Committee resolved that the following
grants are awarded as per the schedule of applications:-
 
SCHEDULE OF APPLICATIONS CONSIDERED 2022/23
– MEETING 2.
 
Portskewett &
Sudbrook Recreation Hall requested £2,000 for the
installation of security PIR lights and the painting of the
building for increased weather protection and an enhanced aesthetic
appearance.
 
Recommendation: £1,000 awarded to assist
this community group in upgrading community facilities to alleviate
security and safety concerns.
 
St Mary's Church, Magor requested £1,500
for the replacement of Halogen lights in roof of the Nave, North
and South Aisles with LED efficient and ‘greener’
lighting.
 
Recommendation: £1,500 awarded to assist
in the refurbishment of the church’s’ lighting to a
more energy efficient installation.
 
Chepstow Priory Friends requested £3,000
to assist in repairs to the Church Clock and the restoration of the
tower steps as they form part of the structural integrity of the
building.
 
Recommendation: £3,000 awarded to assist
in the restoration of the Church Clock and restoration of the
historic tower of the Priory for future generations.
