The Committee resolved that the following
grants are awarded as per the schedule of applications.
 
SCHEDULE OF APPLICATIONS CONSIDERED 2025/26
– MEETING 2.
 
St Nicholas Church, Trellech, requested
£2,000 to replace a broken hearing loop in the church and
replace the church organ speakers so they can be connected to a new
audio system.
 
Recommendation: £1,500 to aid in
repairing a broken hearing loop in this community asset.
 
St Mary's Church, Llanvair Discoed requested
£1,000 for repairs to the Church Chimney and graveyard
wall.
 
Recommendation: £750 awarded for repairs
to be made to the church chimney.
 
Friends of our Lady of Tintern requested
£1,000 to re-instate a mural destroyed by the demolition of
the Abbey hotel in Tintern and the Installation of sculpture's
along the 'Pilgrimage route to the Abbey and structural associated
works.
 
Recommendation: £1,000 awarded to aid in
the re-instatement of an historical mural and provide for
sculptures making the historic pilgrimage route to Tintern
Abbey.
 
Magor Rugby Club - Mini & Junior Section
requested £1,000 to provide essential safeguarding and Health
& Safety training for the establishment of the Mini &
Junior rugby sections of this community sports club in Magor and
Undy.
 
Recommendation: £920 awarded to assist
in the training of club volunteers in essential Health & Safety
and Safeguarding training for the Mini and Junior rugby sections of
this community sports club.
