Revisions to ITS01A/B and BSIP ITS Programme
July 28, 2025 Cabinet Member for Climate and Transport - Councillor Juna Sathian (Cabinet member) Key decision Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
The regional Bus Priority/Real Time Passenger
Information System (ITS01A/B) and Bus service Improvement Plan
(BSIP) have been extended to allow for enhancements to passenger
experience and data quality. Principally this is more on street
displays (PID's), counting of passengers to prioritise buses at
junctions and support for vulnerable transport users at bus stops.
We need to be able to accept funding and progress the scheme.
The purpose of this decision will be to note the revised Full
Business Case and additional costs, approve the Revised/New Grant
Funding Agreement, and allow the director of resource to make
appropriate financial arrangements to receive and commit
expenditure.
