Purpose

This report seeks approval to proceed with the
fit out of Floor 5 and expend the transformation funding allocated
to it.
The project supports the following Council priorities:
Heating and cooling the Civic Centre when office areas are only 30%
occupied is very inefficient. Making improvements to our City
Centre base to accommodate and encourage more staff to return
supports the Councils Net Zero aims.
Encouraging and facilitating more staff into the City Centre
encourages the use of public transport and pool cars
Increasing the number of staff working from the Civic Centre
contributes to the Inclusive Economy of the City Centre.

Officer is recommended to approve the award of the Contract to
Overbury to allow orders to be placed and works to proceed.
