Purpose
This report will seek approval to enter into a
Grant Funding Agreement with the North East Combined Authority and
to authorise the procurement of capital works in the region of
£1.7m for the refurbishment of St Cuthbert Chambers (35
Nelson Street and 11-13 Clayton Street) to create 6,500 sq ft new
creative workspace, plus retail / exhibition / cafe space. The cost
of the refurbishment will be fully covered by the grant award from
the North East Combined Authority.
Content
Authorise the
Assistant Director Legal Services to complete the required
documentation to facilitate delivery as set out in the DD Report
and to finalise the Grant Funding Agreement with the North East
Combined Authority (NECA).
