Purpose

This report will seek
approval to use 'Connect to Work' Grant Funding from the North East
Combined Authority by the Local Authority's Supported Employment
Service (Adult Social Care and Prevention Directorate) to support
Newcastle residents from disadvantaged groups to gain and maintain
paid employment, in keeping with the grant requirements.

Content

 
i. 
To approve signing the Grant Funding Agreement with the North East
Combined Authority for a £2.7 Million grant to deliver the
Connect to Work project.

 
ii. 
To authorise the Director of Adult Social Care and Prevention to
enter into the necessary legal documentation.

 
iii. 
To utilise and deploy the funding as set out in the DD Report.
