Purpose

To seek a delegated decision to advertise and
make a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order under section 21 Town and
Police Clauses Act 1847 to temporarily close numerous streets in
the city centre to ensure that the Jaloos Procession event can take
place in safety.
 
Note:
The Jaloos Procession was originally proposed
to take place on the 23th August 2025 during the hours of 14.00 and
16.45, however, the date of the procession has been changed to
30th August 2025 from 14.00 until 16.45.

which has superseded the first version of the report.

Transport is recommended to make a Delegated Decision authorising
the Temporary Traffic Regulation Order described in this report to
be advertised and made.
