Purpose

We have now concluded
without prejudice negotiations with the current sexual health
service provider regarding a mutual exit from the contract. This
follows ongoing concerns that the service has not consistently met
the clinical standards expected for sexual health provision in the
local authority.
 
To proceed, we must
now follow the Council’s internal governance processes to
formally authorise the termination of the contract and initiate a
new procurement process under the Most Suitable Provider (MSP)
regime. This will enable us to identify and appoint a new provider
within the necessary timeframe to ensure continuity of care and
minimise disruption.
