Purpose

This report will seek
approval for capital match funding and revenue funding for the
development of a new children's home in Elswick Ward, part funded
by Department for Education capital funding.This home will provide
additional much needed places for children with complex needs and
who have suffered trauma. If approved, it is anticipated that
construction would commence in Summer 2026.

The recommendations were agreed as outlined in
the attached report.
