Purpose

To seek a delegated decision for the Council,
for and on behalf of North East Community Forest (NECF), to enter
into agreements with:
 
(i) 
Two agreements with Trees for Cities; and
(ii) 
Two agreements with the Tree Council.
 
Under the terms of the proposed
Agreements, funds will be made available by Trees for Cities and
the Tree Council for the planting of trees.

The Cabinet member for Climate and Transport
is recommended to authorise the execution of the Agreements listed
below:
 
(i) 
The Tree Council Agreements – Two Tree Council Agreements
between between Newcastle City Council c/o the North East Community
Forest and the Tree Council; and
(ii) 
The Trees for Cities Agreements – Two Trees for Cities
Agreements between Newcastle City Council c/o the North East
Community Forest and Trees for Cities.
