Purpose
This report seeks approval to commission a new
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, along with
implementation and change management support. This will replace the
Council’s fragmented, legacy back-office systems with a
single, integrated platform. The core systems include Finance and
Human Resources (HR) that are critical for compliance, financial
control, and workforce management, enabling the effective delivery
of services to residents.
The implementation of an ERP system represents a transformational
change that will streamline back-office processes, improve
operational efficiency and reduce duplication. It will provide
real-time reporting to support better decision-making, mitigate
risks associated with outdated systems and ensure value for
money.
