Purpose

In line with the requirements of the
Environment Act 2021 we will be implementing weekly household food
waste recycling collections, including recycling of food waste by
anaerobic digestion. This report seeks approval to delegate
authority to the Director of City Operations Neighbourhoods and
Regulatory services to complete procurement exercises to secure the
necessary resources to commence the food waste recycling
service.
