Purpose

Equality, diversity and inclusion is at the
heart of everything we do.. This report sets out our proposals for
a new equality, diversity and inclusion action plan for 2025 to
2029. Our proposed EDI action plan will set clear priorities for
improvements from 2025 to 2029. The action plan will ensure
compliance with the Public Sector Equality Duty 2010 and enable us
to fulfil our EDI ambitions, Equality, diversity, and inclusion is
a cross-cutting issue which runs across all our council
priorities.

Cabinet is asked to agree the new EDI action plan, in order to
demonstrate the council’s commitment and ambitions in
tackling inequality, whilst ensuring compliance with the Public
Sector Equality Duty 2010.
