Purpose

Cabinet will be asked to accept the
government’s Pride in Place funding and allocations across
the following two programmes:-

Pride in Place Programme - Elswick (South) and Walker (North): Up
to £20m per area and agreement for Newcastle City Council to
act as the accountable body and work with respective Neighbourhood
Boards to develop a regeneration plan for each area.
· 
Pride in Place Investment Fund: £1.5m capital funding for a
blended funding programme with investment made across the three
themes set by The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local
Government.

Cabinet agreed to:
 

i) 
Accept the PIPP funding for Elswick (South) and Walker (North)
– up to £20m per area – and for Newcastle City
Council to act as the accountable body and work with respective
Neighbourhood Boards to develop a regeneration plan for each
