Purpose

Cabinet is asked to approve the updated EOTAS
Policy for children and young people with Education, Health and
Care Plans. The revised policy clarifies eligibility and
procedures, strengthens quality standards, and introduces new roles
and processes to ensure effective, equitable provision. Approval
will enable the Local Authority to implement these changes and
continue delivering high-quality education support for those unable
to attend school.

Content

Cabinet agreed to:
 

i) 
Approve the updated Education Other Than at School (EOTAS) Policy
for children and young people with Education, Health and Care
Plans.

 

ii) 
Authorise implementation of the revised procedures, quality
standards and new roles as set out in the policy.
 

iii) 
Agree that the Local Authority will review and update the policy as
required in response to future statutory or operational
changes.
