Purpose

The delegated decision
will confirm the funding commitments from North East Combined
Authority to Newcastle City Council and Gateshead Council for the
restoration of the Tyne Bridge. The report will authorise Newcastle
City Council to enter into a Grant Funding Agreement (GFA) for the
receipt of this funding.

Content

The Assistant Director Transport is
recommended to:
Authorise the entry into a Grant Funding
Agreement with the North East Combined Authority as set out in the
body of the report.
Authorise the Chief Finance Officer and Assistant
Director of Legal Services, to finalise and implement the Grant
Funding Agreement documentation.
