Purpose
This report provides
an update on the current performance of DFG (Disabled Facilities
Grant) delivery, new ways of working and alignment of HRA
adaptations service to mirror CARN (Care and repair Newcastle) good
practice.

The following
recommendations are made in the report:
Ensure that the Ring
fenced grant - DFG - allocated but not yet spent allocation of
funding from previous years be carried over into the current years
to be utilised as per grant guidance to reduce waiting list.
Support greater
alignment between CARN and HRA processes as set out in the body of
the report. To reduce costs, increase efficiencies and improve
recycling and servicing programmes across CARN and HRA.
