Purpose
To seek a delegated
decision to advertise and in the event that no objections are
received, make a Traffic Regulation Order for the reduction of the
speed limit on Ponteland Road and introduce traffic calming in the
form of speed cushions on Brunton Road.
Content
Authorise:
1. that notices in
respect of the traffic calming and the Traffic Regulation Order
described in this report, should be prepared, and advertised in
line with the proposals below; and
2. that in the event
that no objections are received following the period of
consultation required by statute, the circumstances do not warrant
the holding of a Public Inquiry and the traffic calming measures be
introduced and the Traffic Regulation Order shall be made.
