Purpose

This report seeks approval to award a contract for delivery of the Home Learning Pathway through the Early Words Together (EWT) programme across the North, Inner West and Outer West localities. A separate contract will be awarded for the East.

Early Words Together is an evidence-based intervention that aligns with Newcastle's Family Hubs model and supports improved home learning environments, parent-child interaction and early language development.

The contract will be for a period of 30 months from 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2029.

Decision

The recommendations were agreed as outlined in the attached report.
