Purpose

This report will seek approval for the allocation of funding held by Newcastle City Council for investment in managing the city’s highway and transport network. This funding is now allocated by the North East Combined Authority who provide local highway funding to local authorities through the City Regional Sustainable Transport Settlement. The report also seeks approval to delegate authority to allocate and approve spend of the grant to the Assistant Director of Transport.

Decision

It is recommended that the LTP capital funding for 26/27 is allocated as detailed in this report.

And that the Assistant Director of Transport is authorised to amend the programme and allocation of spend as appropriate in line with business risks.
