The Council’s Audit Committee provides oversight of a range of core governance and accountability arrangements and ensures that robust arrangements are maintained. Its responsibilities include, Considering the effectiveness of the Council’s Risk Management Arrangements. Monitoring the effectiveness of the system of internal control, including arrangements for ensuring Value for Money. Considering the audit arrangements in place to secure adequate assurance across all operations.
