The Cabinet decided to receive and note the Audit and Standards Committee Annual Report 2025/26 on 9 June 2026. The Cabinet also considered recommendations from the Independent Remuneration Panel regarding allowances for members of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Audit and Standards Committee. Additionally, the Cabinet noted actions taken by the North East MSA to alleviate the cost-of-living crisis and agreed to push for continued government funding for the national bus fare cap and acceleration of the Warm Homes Plan.
