Purpose
A report for information regarding the emergence if sooty bark disease in council trees and the approval expenditure to undertake works to the effected trees
Decision
That approval be given to:
- To approve expenditure of £4,266.50 (excluding VAT) for the emergency felling of sycamore trees (Acer pseudoplatanus) confirmed as infected with sooty bark disease (Cryptostroma corticale) at Goodson's Holt, London Road, Sleaford, and at Potterhanworth Road woodland, Heighington.
- To note the four trees already felled this financial year at Mareham Lane, Sleaford, and Westgate Copse at a cost of £2,450.00, undertaken on health and safety grounds where trees presented an immediate hazard.
