Decision

To approve the grant of a Wayleave at
Bowmandale Primary School, Barton-upon-Humber, in accordance with
section 6.6 of the council’s approved scheme of delegations
to officers and appointment of proper officers.

Reasons for the decision

2.1Bowmandale Primary School is a maintained
school that is owned and managed by North Lincolnshire
Council.
2.2The Head of the school wishes to improve the telecommunications
provision at the school, specifically broadband connectivity. They
propose to utilise BT Open Reach to achieve this.
2.3BT Open Reach require a Wayleave from the council in order to
install the equipment of council land. The works proposed include
the installation of a pole within school ground and associated
external cabling to provide improved connectivity.

Alternative options considered

3.1 Option 1 – Grant the Wayleave to BT
Open Reach on the terms detailed
above.
3.2 Option 2 – Do not grant the Wayleave to BT Open
Reach.
