Decision
To approve the lease of the restaurant at
Elizabeth Quarter, High Street, Scunthorpe in accordance with
Section 6.6 of the council's approved scheme of delegations to
officers and appointment of proper officers.
Reasons for the decision
The proposal will result in the occupation of
the premises, it will generate revenue, avoid holding costs for
vacant premises and provide occupation of the new development to
coincide with the occupation of the offices on the first and second
floors.
Alternative options considered
To not award the lease. This would result in
the premises remaining vacant until an alternative tenant can be
found, this will result in the council holding costs for vacant
premises.
