Decision

To defer the rent of Unit 25 Bloom Lane,
Normanby Enterprise Park, Scunthorpe, in accordance with Section
6.6 of the council's approved scheme of delegations to officers and
appointment of proper officers.

Reasons for the decision

Offering a deferred payment scheme will aid
the financial viability of the tenant thus enabling them to remain
in occupation of the unit. The deferment accords with the Council
Plan 2022-25 in terms of Enabling Economic Growth and Renewal and
Providing Value for Money for Local Tax Payers.

Alternative options considered

Not deferring the payment scheme may result in
the failure f the business and the re-possession of the premises by
the council. We would then need to re-let the premises and be
responsible for all holding costs until it was re-let.
