Decision

It is recommended that Director supports the progression of a funding application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to enable the delivery of the “Rewet, Rewild, Reconnect – Riparian Revival for North Lincolnshire” project including:
1. the issue of all written responses to all submissions received under Question 12 of the consultation to respondents as part of the Council’s commitment to transparent engagement and to demonstrate that feedback.
2. the inclusion of a dedicated Project Officer role within the funding application.
3. the development of a long-term management and maintenance strategy as part of the project.
4. continued community engagement through the presentation and publication of the consultation findings.

Reasons for the decision

The Strategic Flood Risk Team have been developing the Rewet, Rewild, Reconnect: Riparian Revival for North Lincolnshire project at Barton upon Humber with the Town Council. A community questionnaire was undertaken to determine local appetite for progressing the project. The next step is to progress a funding bid to the National Lottery Heritage Fund to enable the delivery of the project and Director approval is sought.

Do not approve the project to proceed beyond its current point.
