Purpose

This Record of Decision relates to the approval given by the Director of Regeneration and Economic Development to advertise and, in the event that no objections are received, to progress multiple proposals to install crossing provisions at various locations as part of the Active Travel England (ATE) funding the Authority has received from central Government. In addition to this, to make Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) to amend the timings of and extend the existing “school keep clear” restrictions in the vicinity of Redesdale Primary School, Wiltshire Drive, Wallsend and to reduce the speed limit on a section of Whitley Road, Benton from a 40mph speed limit to a 30mph speed limit.
