Purpose
On 4th March 2026 the Director of Regeneration and Economic Development authorised
(1) that notices for the proposal should be prepared and advertised in line with relevant statutory requirements; and
(2) that, in the event that no objections were received following the period of consultation, that the circumstances do not warrant the holding of a local inquiry; and
(3) that if no objections were received following the period of consultation required by statute, the Traffic Regulation Order shall be made.
The notices were prepared and advertised in accordance with the statutory requirements and no objections were received during the statutory advertising period.
Therefore, the circumstances do not warrant the holding of a Public Inquiry and the Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) should be made to make variations to restrictions on waiting and loading which involve the amendment of the timings of the existing “school keep clear” restrictions on Hadrian Wynd and Addington Drive, Wallsend in accordance with section 1.5.2 and Appendix 1 of the Delegated Decision Report of the 4th March 2026.
