Purpose

This Record of Decision relates to the approval given by the Director of Neighbourhoods to advertise the making of an ETRO for Howard Street, North Shields.

The ETRO will provide for the introduction of waiting restrictions (double yellow lines) on both sides of Howard Street between its junctions with Saville Street and Northumberland Square, enabling the Authority to respond flexibly to parking issues identified during the experimental period.
