Statutory Licensing Sub-Committee

The Statutory Licensing Sub-Committee is responsible for making decisions on licensing applications that cannot be handled by council officers. This includes applications made under the Licensing Act 2003, which covers premises like public houses and takeaways, and the Gambling Act 2005, which relates to gambling premises. The sub-committee is made up of three members selected from the main Statutory Licensing Committee, which sets the overall licensing policy for these areas.
