Purpose

To provide an update on the outcome of the Cycle Network Prioritisation Assessment exercise in line with stage 5 of the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIP) process.

Decision

The routes identified in line with Stage 5 of the Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plans (LCWIP) as part of the prioritisation exercise are approved.

Reasons for the decision

The proposed schemes have been assessed in accordance with Stage 5 of the LCWIP process, taking account of the agreed assessment criteria and feedback received through stakeholder engagement. The routes identified will inform the future development of active travel schemes and may be considered alongside LCWIP priority corridors when funding opportunities arise.

Alternative options considered

To not approve the routes outlined within the report which was discounted as this would mean they could not be used to inform the future development of active travel schemes and would not be able to be considered alongside LCWIP priority corridors when funding opportunities arise.
