Decision

The Head of Housing Renewal has agreed a Discretionary Top Up Grant of £26,061.88 for the provision of ramped access, and internal reconfiguration to provide a bathroom, bedroom and access and use of the kitchen. Total value of the adaptations will be more than £50K with the mandatory and discretionary funding in place.

Reasons for the decision

Further to a Consultation carried out with the Disabled Adaptations Advisory Group on 22/10/2026, it was agreed that the works were required to enable the provision of access to the property, a bedroom and bathroom for the disabled occupant.

Alternative options considered

Due to the constraints of the property and the needs of the applicant this is the most effective option.
