Purpose
To consider initial proposals for the refresh of the Council's Statement of Gambling Policy, which the Council is required to publish and keep under review under the Gambling Act 2005, and to agree the next steps for recommendation to full Council in accordance with the Budget and Policy Framework.
Decision
RESOLVED that:-
i. Cabinet note the nature of the licensing scheme for gambling activity outlined in the report;
ii. Cabinet endorse the initial proposals for the refreshed licensing policy attached in the Appendix to this report; and
iii. Cabinet approve the consultation outlined on the refreshed licensing policy as outlined in section 5.5 of this report.
