Northumberland County Council Cabinet approved the minutes of the Cabinet meeting held on 13 June 2023. The Cabinet approved a £50,000 loan facility to Northumberland Community Bank, subject to agreed terms and conditions, a legal agreement, and subsidy control implications being satisfied. They also approved various capital programme amendments, including £19,920 for Capita One EMS system modules, £423,000 for the County Hall Solar PV Carport, £1.5 million for the Great Northumberland Forest, £27,180 for New Hartley First School classroom modifications, £0.555 million for Energising Blyth Energy Central Campus Phase 1, and £1.5 million for Prudhoe Waterworld. Additionally, Cabinet approved a 3-month 'invest to save' trial for pothole repairs in North and Tynedale areas, allocating £492,600 from the severe weather reserve for the pilot. The Ashington Regeneration Programme was endorsed, with approval for the acquisition of Woodhorn Road and Wansbeck Square sites, and initial funding allocations for the High Street Innovation Programme, Wansbeck Square, and Portland Park. Cabinet also endorsed the UK Shared Prosperity Fund Investment and Delivery Plans and Northumberland County Council's UKSPF funded projects, securing over £7.085 million. Nominations to outside bodies were agreed, with a note that the Advance Northumberland nomination was in transition and a replacement was needed for Councillor Pattison on the Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust Governing Body. Delegated decisions by the Executive Director for Resources & Transformation and the Executive Director, Regeneration & Place regarding the Energising Blyth Energy Central Campus Phase 1 - Learning Hub were noted.
