The Health Scrutiny Committee is a politically balanced, Non-Executive Committee of the Council. It is established to discharge functions conferred by the Localism Act 2011, the NHS Act 2006 as amended by the Health and Social Care Act 2012 and the Local Authority (Public Health, Health and Wellbeing Board and Health Scrutiny) Regulations 2013, and other relevant legislation in relation to the scrutiny of matters concerning health, including the Council’s public health functions.
