About

The Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Panel is a joint committee of local authorities across Nottinghamshire, responsible for scrutinising the Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner. It holds the Commissioner to account for their decisions, contributes to the development of the Police and Crime Plan, reviews proposed precept levels, and conducts public confirmation hearings for key appointments including the Chief Constable and Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner. The panel's work affects residents by ensuring accountability in local policing and crime reduction strategies.
