Purpose

The purpose of this report is to propose Bus
Stop Clearways at the following locations:-
- Elm Road, Hollinwood
- Denshaw Road, Delph
- Oldham Road, Grasscroft
- Ashton Road East, Failsworth
- Roman Road, Hollinwood
At these locations pedestrians step out into the carriageway
between parked vehicles to be seen by the driver. Parked vehicles
may prevent the bus from accessing the stop alongside the kerb, it
also affects traffic movements and visibility along the roads
concerned.
If approved, the proposal would enable passengers to board and
alight buses safely and improve safety for motorists using the
roads.
