Purpose

Request to:
(a) amend the current collaboration agreement with Rochdale
Council to include Bury Council as an additional party; and
(b) collaboratively procure (Oldham Council, Rochdale Council
and Bury Council) a new contract for the provision of
targeted
support for women who sex work and authorise Rochdale
Council to act as the lead authority

To ensure that women who sex work and either live or work in Oldham
have access to appropriate and accessible support for their sexual
health and wellbeing, safety and, where necessary, substance
misuse, in order to improve their health and wellbeing.

Content

RESOLVED - That:

(a) to either amend the current collaboration agreement with
Rochdale
Council to include Bury Council as an additional party or (most
likely) to enter into a new collaboration agreement with Rochdale
and Bury for the collaborative provision of targeted support for
women who sex work, and (b) to collaboratively procure (Oldham
Council, Rochdale Council and Bury Council) a new contract for the
provision of targeted support for women who sex work utilising the
PSR and to authorise Rochdale Council to act as the lead
authority.

Reasons for the decision

Option A: Do not continue to fund a targeted
support offer for women who sex work and live or work in
Oldham.

Option B: (a) to either amend the current collaboration agreement
with Rochdale Council to include Bury Council as an additional
party or (most likely) to enter into a new collaboration agreement
with Rochdale and Bury for the collaborative provision of targeted
support for women who sex work, and (b) to collaboratively procure
(Oldham Council, Rochdale Council and Bury Council) a new contract
for the provision of targeted support for women who sex work
utilising the PSR and to authorise Rochdale Council to act as the
lead authority.
