Purpose

The reasons for the contribution being paid to
the council are very specific and is for the planting of
replacement trees. Not carrying out the tree planting as set in the
legal agreements with developers could results in the funds being
returned and no new trees being planted. There are no other
alternatives than to alter the locations and the tree planting
locations have been determined as priority locations by the Senior
Arboricultural and Countryside Officer

RESOLVED - That:
To seek approval for the allocation of resources secured primarily
through Section 106 planning obligations to fund a boroughwide tree
planting scheme of 103 trees and their establishment period

Reasons for the decision

Option 1 - – Plant 103 trees with
section 106 contributions specifically for tree planting
Option 2 – Do not plant 103 trees with the section 106
contribution and return it to the developer
