This report seeks delegated approval of the
appointment of a design consultant to undertake design services
associated with the Manchester Street Viaduct refurbishment
scheme.

RESOLVED - That:
The supplier shall be procured via the Crown Commercial Services
(CCS) Construction Professional Services Framework Lot 1: Built
Environment

Reasons for the decision

Option 1 - Delegated approval for the
Manchester Street Viaduct Design Services is accepted and the
Contract is awarded to AECOM, one of the suppliers on the Crown
Commercial Services (CCS) Construction Professional Services
Framework Lot 1, for the value of £531,500.00. The supplier
shall be procured via the Crown Commercial Services (CCS)
Construction Professional Services Framework Lot 1: Built
Environment.
Option 2 - Award the Contract via a mini competition to an
alternative consultant. This is a lengthy process and not in
accordance with the TPS 2021 Framework User Guide
