Decision

The Cabinet:

 

1. Approved the overall approach
to the delivery of the Household Support Fund extension as outlined
in the report.

 

2. Delegated authority to the
Executive Director for Place and Economy to finalise the detailed
arrangements, including the award of agreements/contract(s), for
all aspects of the Household Support Fund (round 7) within the
guidelines of the scheme and up to £3.22m being the grant
determination limit as set out in the Government’s Financial
Instruction.

 

3. Delegated authority to the
Executive Director for Place and Economy, where the Government
extends the Household Support Fund beyond 31 March 2026, to enter
into or extend appropriate agreements/contracts up to the future
grant determination limit and in accordance with the
Government’s guidelines.

 

With the approval of the
Monitoring Officer and relevant scrutiny Chair, the urgency
procedures were approved to waive the 28-day forward plan and 3-day
call-in periods.
