Purpose

Award to successful bidder(s) of
the All Age Carers tender. This service seeks to enable the council
to undertake it duties under Care Act 2014 to its unpaid carers
across Adults and Children.

Decision

The Cabinet:

 

1.    
Authorised the award of a contract
to Making Space for a total value of £1,140,900.00 over a
maximum of five years (estimated annual value of £228,180.00
per contract year) to provide the Council’s Adults Carers
Service (Lot1). The initial contract term will be three years,
commencing on 1 August 2025, with two additional 1-year extension
options.

2.    
Authorised the award of a contract
to Centre 33 for a total value of £566,370.00 over a maximum
of five years (estimated annual value of £113,274.00 per
contract year) to provide the Council’s Young Carers Service
(Lot 2). The initial contract term will be three years, commencing
on 1 August 2025, with two additional 1-year extension
options.

3.    
Authorised the Executive Director
Adult Services, at their discretion, to exercise the optional
contract extensions, and extend the contract for a further two
periods of 12 months in accordance with contract
provisions.
