Decision

Cabinet:

 

1.    
Approved a change of the budget
within the public health grant for certain adult behaviour change
services, specifically adult weight management, health trainers,
training for health professionals, physical activity, falls
prevention and outreach health checks from £442,694 to
£100,000 from the date this report becomes
effective.

 

2.    
Approved allocation of this
remaining budget such that £50,000 is used to support wider
work on the prevention of obesity and £50,000 is allocated to
falls prevention and physical activity.

 

3.    
Delegated authority to the
Director of Public Health to award the contract for provision of
smoking cessation services for a period of 2 years plus 1 year
possible extension, commencing on 1st November 2025, following a
Provider Selection Regime further competition, with a total value
of £582,216.

 

4.    
Approved the proposal to vary the
Leisure Concession Contract between Peterborough City Council and
Peterborough Limited to include the delivery of health and
wellbeing services, specifically physical activity and falls
prevention and a total value of service c.£80k per
annum. 
The variation shall take effect on
1 October 2025 for a period of 3.5 years, subject to agreement by
all parties.
